Opportunity: BHSI is seeking a Finance Technology Leader to join
our Enterprise Solutions team. This role is critical to driving the
digital transformation of our global finance function. Reporting to
the Head of Enterprise Solutions, you will partner closely with the
Global Head of Finance and other key stakeholders (e.g., NICO,
BHEI) to design and execute a comprehensive digital finance
strategy that enhances operational efficiency, enables faster
insights, and improves job satisfaction across the organization.
You will lead large-scale finance technology initiatives, manage
our existing suite of finance applications, and deliver scalable
solutions for General Ledger & Reporting, Credit Control &
Receivables, and Finance & Accounting systems. This role requires a
strategic thinker with deep expertise in finance processes and
technologies, strong leadership skills, and the ability to navigate
the complexities of a global insurance organization. Duties and
Responsibilities: Develop and execute a digital finance
transformation strategy, focusing on automation, process
reengineering, and enhanced reporting capabilities. Design and
maintain a scalable, resilient finance technology ecosystem that
integrates multiple financial systems and ensures accurate,
efficient data flow. Oversee the portfolio of finance-centric
applications, ensuring strategic alignment, lifecycle management,
and optimization to support global business needs. Build strong
business cases for finance technology initiatives and present to
executive leadership for approval. Develop and manage budgets for
finance technology programs, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment
with business priorities. Lead RFP processes, vendor evaluations,
and contract negotiations for finance technology solutions. Provide
regular updates to senior leadership, translating complex technical
information into actionable insights. Gain deep knowledge of BHSI’s
finance technology landscape, including international requirements,
multi-currency, and regulatory complexities. Lead and motivate
cross-functional, multi-disciplinary, globally distributed teams,
including vendor partners, with a focus on achieving outcomes.
Drive change management and adoption strategies to ensure
successful implementation of new technologies. Collaborate with all
key stakeholders to align technology initiatives with BHSI’s
long-term goals, assume positive intent, and exhibit a growth
mindset. Identify and remediate technical debt and vulnerabilities
to reduce risk and maintain system reliability. Monitor and report
on key performance indicators for finance technology initiatives,
ensuring continuous improvement and measurable impact. Drive
application portfolio rationalization and lifecycle planning to
maximize value and reduce complexity. Maintain and optimize
existing finance applications, tools, and platforms to ensure
security, reliability, and availability. Qualifications, Skills,
and Experience: 15 years of progressive experience in Information
Technology, including leadership roles in finance technology,
application management, program management, or enterprise
transformation. Proven track record of delivering large-scale,
mission-critical finance technology initiatives from strategy
through execution, ideally in global or highly regulated
environments. Deep understanding of finance processes and systems,
including General Ledger, Reporting, Credit Control, Receivables,
Accounting, and reconciliation workflows. Strong data-driven
mindset, leveraging analytics for decision-making, performance
measurement, and continuous improvement. Strategic thinking with
the ability to construct and articulate a long-term vision for
finance technology and application portfolio management. Strong
decision-making and problem-solving capability, with a focus on
risk mitigation and operational excellence. Executive presence and
ability to influence at all organizational levels, including senior
leadership and cross-functional teams. High ownership mindset,
demonstrating accountability, delivery focus, and a commitment to
continuous improvement. Experience collaborating with business
leaders, enterprise architects, and technical teams to align
technology solutions with business objectives. Technical background
or hands-on experience in enterprise applications, cloud platforms
(Azure/AWS), integrations, and architecture is desirable. Advanced
analytical and portfolio management skills, with ability to
evaluate application value, cost, risk, and performance to inform
strategic decisions. Experience with global finance operations,
including multi-currency and regulatory compliance requirements.
Good understanding of financial reporting standards and audit
processes. Proven ability to manage vendors and contracts for
finance technology solutions. Knowledge of data governance,
security, and compliance frameworks for financial systems. Prior
experience in insurance or financial services industry is a plus.
Demonstrated success in change management and stakeholder adoption
for large-scale technology initiatives. Strong technical expertise
in finance technology platforms and digital finance tools.
Experience integrating multiple finance applications to create a

base salary range for this position in Boston is $175,000 to
$225,000, along with annual bonus eligibility. Total compensation
for a candidate is determined by their relevant skills, location,
