Job Description:
We are looking for an Assistant Baseball Coach to join our team
for the 2026 Spring Season. Assistant Coaches are paid a stipend
$3,000. All stipends are paid in one lump sum at the end of the
season. The After School Athletics Coach is responsible for
facilitating and coordinating activities related to the assigned
athletic sport. The After School Athletics Coach is also
responsible for coaching, managing and enforcing safety protocols
for students participating in the sport, as well as supervision and
evaluation of all students within their assignment. They are
committed to the Atlantis Charter School Board of Trustee’s

understanding and reports directly to the Athletic Director or

welcoming. QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience coaching in a
similar sport strongly preferred. Experience in teaching and
coaching techniques appropriate to the sport assigned preferred
Ability to acquire First Aid, CPR, AED and Concussion training
certifications. Ability to acquire training as required by the
Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Associated (MIAA) Possession
of valid Driver’s License, if transporting students. Availability
to attend activities, practices, games, and meetings outside of
school hours as necessary. Dependability and reliability. Strong
communication skills, both written and spoken. Ability to relate
well to others. REPORTS TO: Athletic Director and Principal
SUPERVISION: Coach Assistants, if any assigned ROLES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES: While actual roles and responsibilities will vary
depending on individual circumstances, After School Athletics Coach
will generally be required to perform some or all of the following
tasks. Note that this list is not all-inclusive and that the
administrator may also assign other tasks they deem appropriate.
Maintains current First-Aid, CPR, and Concussion training, if
required by the particular sport, or based on availability of
coaches at the activity site; Keeps up to date with any necessary
training for assigned sport; Attends regular coach meetings
organized by the Athletic Director to discuss topics such as
student eligibility, practice schedules, practice locations,
documentation, equipment needs, and any general concerns or
questions; Creates an environment where students are supported and
encouraged to participate in the athletics program; Adheres to
practice schedules, student practice rules and medical compliance
as required by the league; Strictly upholds and enforces standards
and rules of athletic program, especially safety rules and
standards; Sets appropriate boundaries for students based on school
rules; Models positive behavior and fair play; Instructs students
in the proper use of equipment and sets up equipment for practice
and games as necessary; Notifies Athletic Director or Game Day
Assistant in a timely manner of any misuse of athletic equipment
and need for any replacement equipment; Trains students in the
basic skills necessary for the assigned sport; Works with staff
volunteers as needed; Works with students and Athletic Director to
ensure all documentation is submitted to the Athletic Director by
deadlines; Assists, as needed, in planning, executing an attending
awards ceremony for students at the end of the school year;
Maintains professional appearance, including wearing ACS branded
attire on game days; Attends all necessary meetings at Atlantis
relating to the Athletics Program, including all Conference/League
Pre-season, Post Season, and All-Star meetings; Keeps Athletic
Director and Game Day Assistant up to date on games, practices, and
issues or concerns related to assigned sport; Maintains records of
student athlete attendance for practices and games, varsity game
statistics for Conference/League end of season reports, and
equipment and uniform assignments and returns. Additional
Requirements Performs other duties as assigned; Cultural Standards
Establishes and maintains cooperative and effective working
relationships with all members of school community to carry out
responsibilities; Interacts professionally with a diverse range of
constituents; Maintains an attendance record that meets or exceeds
an acceptable standard as defined by ACS policy. Takes
responsibility and accountability for assigned tasks, projects, and
duties while maintaining a professional manner. Makes efficient use
of time by organizing and prioritizing work efficiently. Presents a
professional appearance by adhering to ACS dress code. Is actively
engaged in job/career growth by attending in-service programs,
professional development, educational courses and seminars.
Actively listens and responds in a respectful non-confrontational
manner to the opinions of others. Fosters positive attitude in the
workplace. Maintains and respects strict confidentiality of any
sensitive information related to Atlantis Charter School, its
faculty, staff and students. EVALUATION To be completed by Athletic
Director. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Stipend as negotiated per agreement.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Ability to run, walk, sit and stand for long
periods. May be outside during inclement weather for practices and
games. Travel to and from games, practices and meetings
required.
