Job Description:

As a Maintenance Technician I at Cargill, you will play a vital role in maintaining the operational efficiency of our food processing facilities. Operating under the ethos of nourishing and sustaining the global community, you will ensure all mechanical systems within the plant are functioning optimally. This position requires a hands-on approach to machinery troubleshooting and repair, adherence to all safety protocols, and active participation in continuous improvement initiatives. Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly and systems operate efficiently. Troubleshoot and repair any mechanical or electrical problems in the processing plant. Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions following checklist. Use a variety of hand and power tools, and material handling equipment in performing duties. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Assist in documenting routine maintenance activities and generating reports as required. Proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems. Ability to follow diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications. Skill in troubleshooting and problem-solving. Good communication, teamwork, and report writing skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification in mechanical or electrical maintenance preferred. OSHA Safety Certification is a plus.
