Job Description:
SUMMARY The position of Assistant to the President of Central
Catholic High School ("CCHS") requires handling multiple and
complex projects, independence of action, decision making and
knowledge of computer software essential to perform
responsibilities. Mature judgment, confidentiality, tact, and
discretion are essential qualities. This position is part-time, 12
- 15 hours per week from September through June; summer
availability is minimal but necessary at times. This role is
in-person with an anticipated start date of June 1. DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES President's office: --- Provide high-level
administrative assistance to the President of Central Catholic High
School particularly in support of all Board of Directors activities
and functions. --- Maintain calendar and act as gatekeeper for
president. --- Help monitor, oversee, and coordinate the flow of
incoming and outgoing communications (phone calls, emails) to the
president and the office of the president; act on behalf of the
president when necessary. --- Interface with president's Leadership
Team as needed and maintain a bi-weekly meeting schedule throughout
the academic year; record, transcribe and distribute minutes from
these meetings. --- Coordinate projects and initiatives, research,
track, and compile information, manage expenses, and prepare or
assist with travel arrangements, agendas, reports, briefings,
memos, and presentations. --- Perform other related duties as
required by the position. Board of Directors: --- Support and
interact with Central Catholic High School Board of Directors. ---
Keep Directors informed of pertinent activities of the school. ---
Coordinate installation activities of new Board members. ---
Coordinate Board meetings (five annually) and monthly meetings for
several Board committees. --- Attend evening Board of Directors
meetings; record, transcribe and distribute meeting minutes. ---
Attend specific committee meetings if/as; record, transcribe and
distribute meeting minutes after committee chairman's approval. ---
Compile and distribute all Board and Board committee meeting
material; print hard copies for meetings. Mission Effectiveness:
--- Coordinate all materials relative to the annual Montagne
Scholar Program ("MSP") process. Work with MSP committee members
and the Director of Admissions and Dean of Diversity, Equity and
Inclusion to screen applications, interview candidates and
ultimately decide on the scholarship recipients. Miscellaneous: ---
Coordinate various projects for the president and other school
department heads as needed. --- Provide occasional administrative
coverage in other school departments. QUALIFICATIONS --- Bachelor's
degree or high school degree with relevant college course work
and/or experience. --- Minimum of five years of progressive work
experience at Executive Assistant, preferably in education or
non-profit environment. --- Technologically savvy, proficient with
Microsoft Office and Google Suite. Database experience a plus. ---
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention
to detail and the facility to summarize key facts. --- Exceptional
organizational skills and ability to multitask. --- Unwavering
commitment to confidentiality. --- Flexibility, adaptability, and
willingness to offer to support throughout school departments, as
needed. --- Ability to think quickly, take initiative, and
prioritize tasks. --- High energy and enthusiastic. ---
