Grants & Community Relations Manager Job Summary

The Grants & Community Relations Manager is responsible for managing the annual giving campaign, Special Fundraising Events and the Research and Grant Submissions, and State Contract bids. This position is responsible for donor relations, data management and supervision of support staff. The Grants Manager and Community Relations will focus on retaining and cultivating existing donors and supporters, while building relationships with potential new donors.

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for the overall planning, development, and execution of agency wide community relations events and fundraising initiatives.
  • Research and lead NILP's grant opportunities and Contract bids with collaboration with key program leads to determine potential match and submit grants/bids.
  • Oversee grants research and administration and conduct Grant/Contract outcomes reporting where applicable.
  • Create yearly development activity plans and goals, in conjunction with the Organizational Development team, and develop metrics to measure success at the end of the fiscal year
    • Oversee social media and other marketing and communication tools to increase NILP's visibility
    • Direct/supervise development and marketing staff and volunteers
    • Other duties and special projects as assigned Who we are looking for?
      • Bachelor's Degree in marketing or a related field. May be substituted with equivalent experience as a person living with a disability.
      • 5 + years of experience in Grant Writing, Development, Major Gifts, Annual Giving and Capital Campaigns or related field
      • Strong budgeting, financial forecasting and financial analysis skills
      • Well organized, ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
      • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
      • Experience maintaining consumer and agency confidentiality
      • Predictability of attendance and punctuality are critical to the Center's operations
        • Ability to travel independently & reliable transportation required
