InformationDepending on experience, pay starts at $85,000 per
yearFull-time position requiring flexible scheduling options,
including on-call rotations and occasional weekend and holiday
coverageAdult Program Nurse RequirementsGraduate of an accredited
school of nursing with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred;
Registered Nurse consideredCurrent licensure as a Registered Nurse
through the Massachusetts Board of Nurse ExaminersMinimum of three
(3) years of clinical experience in a developmental disabilities
setting with a minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience
preferredKnowledge of DPH MAP proceduresAdult Program Nurse
ResponsibilitiesIdentify, manage, and resolve health problems for
individuals in the adult day and residential programMaintain
operational aspects of individual health care areasCollaborate with
the multidisciplinary treatment teamProvide direct provision of
safe, efficient, quality nursing careAssist in developing and
implementing policies and proceduresEnsure timely development and
documentation of nursing care plans and treatment plansProvide
continuity of care and discharge planningTranscribe and carry out
physicians' ordersProvide health care teaching and education to
individuals and familiesAct as a liaison between individuals,
families, and physiciansInvestigate individual and family
complaints and respond to crisis situationsPromote and maintain a
safe environment for individual care and employee safetyAssume
responsibility for infection control activitiesEvaluate staff
performance and provide leadership and trainingMaintain proper
equipment and supplies for healthcare servicesParticipate actively
on committees and in teaching employee orientationAssist with
