*Job Title:* Medical Assistant II - Cardiology

*Shift:* Monday to Friday - 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
*Pay Rate:* $26/hour (W2, all-inclusive, no benefits)

*About the Role:*

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced *Medical Assistant II* to join our cardiology team at the Yawkey Center in Boston, MA. In this role, you'll work under the supervision of the Practice Manager and Lead Medical Assistant to ensure efficient patient flow, while maintaining high standards of patient care, safety, and satisfaction. You will be an essential part of our clinical team, contributing to a positive and professional environment.

*Key Responsibilities:*
* Room patients, take blood pressure, perform EKGs, and record vitals in EPIC.
* Perform additional procedures as needed and assist with patient transport to the ER if necessary.
* Manage the clinical workflow for providers, keeping them informed of session status and delays.
* Communicate with the front desk regarding patient flow and coordination.
* Accurately track patient visits using the Ambulatory Patient Tracking system.
* Maintain clean and well-stocked exam rooms and phlebotomy areas daily.
* Maintain and troubleshoot clinical equipment, including daily EKG transmissions and monthly calibration of scales.
* Report broken or expired equipment to Bio-Medical Engineering.
* Provide backup support in other cardiology areas as needed.
* Deliver excellent customer service by engaging with patients and team members in a professional, respectful manner.
* Other duties as assigned.

*Required Skills & Qualifications:*
* *Phlebotomy and EKG experience required.*
* Proficiency with EPIC and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
* Demonstrated professionalism, compassion, and a positive attitude.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Adaptability to process improvement and workflow changes.

*Education & Certifications:*
* *High school diploma or GED required.*
* *Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.*
* *Medical Assistant Certification required.*
* *BLS Certification required (AHA preferred).*
* *EKG Certification required.*
* *Certified Medical Assistant through AAMA preferred.*

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $26.00 per hour
