Windsor, Vermont, 05089! Job Title: House Supervisor - Emergency
Room Traveler Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty:

Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 5 years of recent inpatient
experience; current supervisory experience within 6 months License:
Current RN license (Vermont or Compact) Certifications: BLS, ACLS,
PALS, TNCC Must-Have: - Supervisory experience - Experience in a
Critical Access facility - Cerner EMR experience Description: This
position is for a House Supervisor in the Emergency Department.
Straight ED travelers will not be considered for this need. The
traveler must have supervisory experience. Travelers preferring to
work alongside a permanent placement or another travel assignment
will not be considered. Schedule accommodations such as block
scheduling will not be approved. The Emergency Department has a
growing reputation for short wait times. Almost all patients are
seen within 30 minutes or less. The department has 10 ED beds and a
typical 24-hour patient census of 8-15 patients. Anything more than
12-15 patients per day is considered busy. The Emergency Department
handles all ages. The ideal candidate for this role must be able to
think quickly and prioritize tasks. Flexibility to restructure
plans and processes is essential. Candidates must obtain a health
history and complete an accurate physical assessment. Critical
thinking and decision-making skills are fundamental for this role.
Good communication skills are imperative. The candidate must manage
unplanned situations, including dealing with angry or combative
behaviors. Successful attributes for an emergency department nurse
include compassion, humor, good organizational skills, and being a
team player. Requested time off must be noted and verified at the
time of application. No more than 5 days of requested time off will
be accepted. Local travelers residing within 50 miles of the
facility are not eligible for this position. Candidates must have
their own vehicle as public transport is not available in the
