Experience: Minimum years of experience required. License: Valid
nursing license required. Certifications: Relevant certifications
required. Must-Have: - Experience with chest tubes. - Familiarity
with medication administration via drips (e.g., Diltiazem, heparin,
Lasix, insulin, amiodarone). - Experience managing lines, tubes,
and drains for post-surgical patients. - Knowledge of
tracheostomies and laryngectomies. - Proficiency in telemetry
monitoring. - Experience with complex wound care. - Competence in
central line care and maintenance, including blood draws.
Description: We have two openings for Registered Nurses starting on
02/16. The nurses will work in a unit focused primarily on medical
patients rather than surgical ones. Patients will include those
with acute or chronic illnesses such as sepsis and various
infectious processes. Nurses will care for patients with acute
kidney injury or chronic kidney disease, including those undergoing
hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Experience with managing
patients with diabetes, gastrointestinal issues, and
fluid/electrolyte imbalances is required. Additional patient
conditions include alcohol withdrawal, liver disease, substance
misuse, endocarditis, heart disease, skin and wound issues, and
acute and chronic respiratory illnesses, including COPD, flu,
pneumonia, and cystic fibrosis. Candidates should be prepared for
