Central Vermont Medical Center, a proud member of the University of Vermont Health Network, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Ultrasonographer Tech to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a community-focused environment that emphasizes patient-centered care. The successful candidate will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physicians. Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations including but not limited to abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, and vascular ultrasound using sonic imaging equipment. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and answering patient inquiries. Maintain equipment and handle supplies properly to ensure operational readiness and safety compliance. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals such as radiologists to provide top quality patient care. Maintain patient records and add medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure. Adhere to departmental policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols. Proven expertise in ultrasound equipment and technology Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Excellent patient communication and empathetic interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining detailed and accurate reports Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Active certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Current CPR/BLS certification
