Roles & Responsibilities Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a 29-bed Med-Surg/Telemetry unit Monitor telemetry continuously and quickly recognize and respond to dysrhythmias Administer medications and manage PCA and IV pumps safely and accurately Document care promptly and accurately using Meditech Expanse Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team during bedside care conferences and safety rounding Maintain patient safety and proper patient ratios (unit typically 6:1) while prioritizing critical needs Support unit workflows and contribute to a positive patient experience Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for practice in the U.S. (compact license accepted where applicable) BLS and ACLS certifications required Dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry monitoring skills required Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience (job indicates 2 years of overall experience) Experience with Meditech Expanse and familiarity with PCA and IV infusion pumps Comfort with floating to other units as needed and working every other weekend Knowledge & Skills Telemetry monitoring and recognition of cardiac rhythm changes Med-Surg clinical judgment and acute care nursing skills Proficiency with Meditech Expanse electronic documentation Safe operation of PCA pumps and IV infusion devices Strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills Ability to manage a 6:1 patient assignment while prioritizing safety Benefits Generous housing stipend and travel support to make your assignment comfortable Comprehensive medical, dental & vision coverage to keep you healthy Licensure assistance and reimbursement so paperwork isn’t a headache Paid time off to recharge between shifts Professional development support to grow your clinical skills A supportive team that values YOU and your expertise Referral bonus program for bringing great colleagues on board Travel reimbursement and onboarding support to get you settled quickly Travel Perks: Explore Derry, NH Derry sits in southern New Hampshire with easy access to both outdoor and cultural attractions.
