/n Job Description/n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN
for an inpatient Rehab Med-Surg night shift position requiring
charge nurse and float experience. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work
in an inpatient rehabilitation and medical-surgical hospital
setting - Primary patient population includes individuals
recovering from surgery, illness, or injury requiring intensive
rehab - Average nurse to patient ratio is 1:4-5 with an average
daily census of 22 patients - Scheduled for 12-hour night shifts
with every other weekend and potential holiday shifts required -
May float between Acute Rehab, Med Surg, and other units as needed
and within scope of practice - Uses Cerner EMR system; prior
experience is preferred but not required - Charge nurse duties may
be required - Role includes coordinating total nursing care,
providing patient and family teaching, and collaborating with
multidisciplinary teams - Orientation consists of 8 non-billable
hours - Must be willing to float to other appropriate units as
staffing needs arise - Requested time off must be submitted in
advance with no more than 5 days allowed during the contract -
Block scheduling and scheduling accommodations are not permitted
for this assignment - Personal vehicle is required for commute due
to no available public transportation /n /n Requirements/n - Active
VT or Compact RN license in hand - Minimum of 2 years recent Med
Surg and Rehab nursing experience - Previous travel nursing
experience of at least 3 months required - Charge RN experience
required - Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS
certifications required - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
strongly preferred - Must have own vehicle due to lack of public
transportation in a small community - Skills checklist for Medical
Surgical within the past year required for consideration - One
supervisory signed reference from the past two years of employment
required - Local travelers residing within 50 miles are not
