This role combines leadership and hands-on clinical work, making it a great opportunity for an experienced veterinary technician or nurse who is ready to grow into a supervisory position. You will help guide the clinical team, support workflow and training initiatives, and contribute to a collaborative, positive environment while continuing to provide direct patient care. The role is approximately 90% technical and 10% administrative leadership. What You’ll Do Leadership & Operations - Assist with staffing coordination to ensure appropriate coverage based on patient and client needs. - Partner with hospital departments to streamline workflow and improve service delivery. - Support onboarding, training, and mentorship for new and existing team members. - Participate in performance reviews, monthly one-on-one meetings, and day-to-day problem-solving. - Help maintain equipment and ensure the team has the tools needed to provide high-quality care. - Support the Clinical Supervisor with operational oversight while maintaining a strong presence on the floor. Clinical Responsibilities - Triage and support General Practice patients, ensuring compassionate and efficient care throughout their visit. - Administer vaccines and perform phlebotomy and cytology sample collection and processing. - Assist veterinarians with dentistry procedures, spays, neuters, and other surgical or medical treatments. - Monitor anesthesia and ensure safe, attentive patient care during procedures. - Handle laboratory samples and utilize diagnostic tools such as imaging and laboratory equipment to support patient assessment. Qualifications - Minimum of 3 years of experience in Veterinary General Practice or a related clinical setting - Strong leadership and communication skills with a team-focused mindset - Professional, compassionate, and client-focused demeanor - Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments - Passion for veterinary medicine and commitment to exceptional patient care - Supervisory experience preferred - Fluent in English (speaking and reading required) Why Bulger?
