Requiring proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Robert Half seeks a Payroll Administrator to help process payroll. The Payroll Administrator opportunity will be located in Lawrence, Massachusetts as a short-term contract / temporary role. Your responsibilities - Handle all payroll information questions and requests - Compile all information in reference to summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages for reports - Guarantee company compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines - Continue implementation of established policies and procedures to maintain payroll operations, reporting changes where necessary - Handle payroll record updates by keeping changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers - Prepare for department heads relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports - Reconcile employee deductions and other liabilities as needed - Payroll information management via collecting, calculating, and entering data - Continue employee confidence in payroll operations by keeping sensitive information confidential - Resolve payroll discrepancies via information collection and analysis - Perform any other duties that arise in the course of normal business operations - Review source documents with necessary verification - Provide assistance as necessary for all internal and external audits related to payroll - Detail all payroll liabilities by establishing employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payment - Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills

- Experience with high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.

- Proficiency in data entry

- Weekly Payroll experience highly desired

- Command of Multi-state Payroll

- Solid understanding of payroll systems for 100-500 employees

- Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel

- Foundational knowledge in ADP

- Proficient knowledge of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen

- Knowledgeable about federal and state payroll regulations and requirements

- Earlier experience working with various types of accounting software desired

- Relevant experience should include 2+ years in payroll

- Understanding of internal controls

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
