For over 60 years, United Tool & Machine has provided state-of-the art precision machining, CNC, cutting/stamping, and tool & die making services to companies in a wide range of industries. We're a family-oriented company of 60 employees, and we value hard work and a work/life balance. We're searching for a high energy, skilled HR Generalist who is comfortable wearing many hats. This position is in-office and can be full-time or part-time depending on applicant preference (32-40 hour/week). The job reports directly to our owner. Responsibilities: Reconcile and run weekly payroll; produce payroll and employee reports. Administer employee benefits and leaves; maintain employee files and records. On-board and off-board employees; provide consultative support and compliance guidance to the management team. Recruit for manufacturing, sales and administrative roles. Maintain OSHA records and ensure compliance with HR/Payroll record-keeping and reporting. Manage the annual performance evaluation process. Work closely with owner on employee relations and training initiatives. Requirements: 5 years HR and payroll experience, preferably using ADP products. Strong recruiting skills, preferably with experience sourcing for manufacturing positions. Experienced and comfortable working as a one-person HR department Strong written and oral communication skills; organized and detail-oriented. Strong computer skills.
