Job Description:

Microchip is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) who will work closely with the site leadership team to ensure that the HR strategy supports the overall business goal of the organization as well as oversee the Human Resources activities at the location in Lawrence, MA. Successful candidates will support human resources activities such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, training, audits/compliance, and other employee-related services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic business partnership to site leadership team.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process.
  • Manage the new hire onboarding and off-boarding processes.
  • Provide advice, coaching and counseling to employees and managers regarding policy & procedure interpretation and employee relations issues.
  • Provide guidance and support on the performance management process.
  • Maintain data in HRIS system (Workday) and generate reports as needed.
  • Assist with programs to enhance employee engagement and job satisfaction.
  • Partner with the Learning & Development team on training and development needs for managers and employees.
  • Partner with Benefits Team to provide guidance on programs such as medical/dental/vision/life insurance, wellness programs, 401k, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
  • Assist in site audits and compliance related matters.
  • Participate in the investigation of accidents and safety concerns.
  • Maintain continuous learning of latest HR trends, best practices and technologies.

    Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
    • 2+ years of direct HR experience in a generalist or HRBP role.
    • Manufacturing industry experience is highly preferred. Semiconductor industry experience a plus.
    • Knowledge and experience in recruitment, EEO-Affirmative Action, employment law, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, employee engagement, and development.
    • Knowledge of Federal and MA State laws.
    • Excellent written and communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to provide a high level of customer service.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
    • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource and partner to site management teams.
    • Ability to multi-task and balance multiple priorities effectively.
    • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include knowledge of Excel and skills in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Workday experience preferred.
    • Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement preferred.
