West Creek 6 (12076), United States of America, Richmond, VirginiaManager, Software Engineer, Full StackThis team is responsible for enforcing cloud best practices, compliance, & security by creating solutions that adhere to Capital One's Cloud guidelines. The team develops python applications that simplify the developer experience by streamlining compliance and security in AWS. A teammate can expect to get hands-on experience with several AWS services every day, whether they are managing resources via the AWS sdk (boto3), console, cli, or other build tools. The typical teammate has full stack experience which aids the development of our python web applications, lambda functions, databases, and open source packages we contribute to. - -This candidate should have a focus on DevOps and needs to know how to build complete applications on AWS that scale across our organization. They should have a passion for learning new technologies, innovating and driving change, and collaborating with other developers. -ResponsibilitiesOverall delivery of software solutions working in collaboration with product and other development teams -Enforcing best practices, compliance, and security across multiple cloud environmentsFull participation in the Agile Scrum processReady, willing, and able to pick up new technologies and pitch in on story tasks (design, code, test, CI/CD, deploy, etc)Able to research and learn new methodologies and technologies and bring knowledge to the teamFull Stack Engineer capable of designing solutions, writing code, testing code, automating test and deployment -Capital One is open to hiring a Remote Employee for this opportunity -Basic Qualifications: -- Bachelor's Degree- At least 7 years experience in software development -- At least 2 years experience in people management - -Preferred Qualifications: -- Masters Degree -- 8+ years experience in software development -- 7+ years experience in Agile practices -- 2+ years experience in any public cloud service (AWS, GCP, or Azure) -At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.No agencies please.
