Learn more at www.analog.com and on LinkedIn and Twitter (X).Internal Job Description (P6)Title: Technical Program Lead, Advanced AI Computer ArchitecturesLevel: P6Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)Role: ADI is exploring heterogeneous AI compute platforms that blend traditional digital architectures with emerging approaches, including analog compute, in-memory processing, and neuromorphic hardware.The Frontier AI team seeks a senior technical contributor to lead this long-term, cross-functional initiative, focusing on exploration, prototyping, and platform definition to enable ultra-efficient AI compute solutions across various applications.This strategic initiative requires technical depth, program execution skills, and the ability to engage internal stakeholders and external organizations, especially startups.Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the definition and execution of ADI's next-generation AI compute initiative.
  • Evaluate and prototype non-traditional computing paradigms, including analog signal-chain AI, in-memory compute (SRAM or RRAM), and neuromorphic systems.
  • Architect hybrid compute platforms combining low-power, unconventional elements with traditional digital compute blocks.
  • Translate architectural advances into deployable systems for high-impact markets, emphasizing ultra-low latency, power, and on-device learning.
  • Conduct proof-of-concept trials with internal groups and external startups focused on non-traditional AI compute.
  • Author and maintain core technical documents like the Compute Exploration Plan, Architecture Whitepapers, and Prototype Specifications.
  • Partner with strategy and platform leaders to align on roadmaps, applications, and integration.
  • Stay updated on AI compute research and drive the team towards advancing the state of the art.Qualifications:
    • 10+ years in hardware systems, embedded compute, and AI platform development.
    • Strong understanding of AI/ML workload requirements and their impact on hardware.
    • Knowledge of non-traditional architectures such as analog multiply-accumulate units, in-memory compute, and spiking neural networks.
    • Background in low-power, efficient system design and embedded AI deployment.
    • Ability to independently drive long-term technical initiatives from inception to prototype.
    • Experience with startups or evaluating early-stage technologies.
    • Effective communication skills across technical and executive audiences.
    • Strong technical leadership skills.
