Job Description Pay Rate: $25.00-$29.00 Location: Lawrence MA 01843 Hours: 7:30am-4:30/5pm M-F 40,000-part numbers, new ones every day. Need to know how to look at a blueprint and know how to measure Attention to detail, 90% measuring with a tape measure - Mechanical drawing side. Vernier caliper and micrometers are other measuring equipment used Fabrication side, sheet metal, infrastructure fab 6 shops in the building, 3 are assembly shops (visual inspection as well) - make sure they use the correct valve, operates properly. Machine shop- precision metal and plastic parts (5-6K parts They have electronic height gages that do both. Surface finishes, critical in liquid movement (machine he can teach) CMM --- experience would be great but NOT required Summary of essential job functions Mechanical and visual inspection of manufactured items Verify condition of outgoing orders Visual inspection of count, kind and accuracy Error reporting and remediation Assist in root cause investigations Familiarity with non-conformance reporting Continuous improvement activities as team member Maintain a working knowledge of the company---s ISO 9001 procedures and perform duties within the scope of these procedures. Skills and Experience 3 years--- experience working in a manufacturing environment Strong mechanical inspection background. Strong mechanical blueprint reading ability. Ability to measure accurately using calipers, micrometers, height gages and tape measures. Some experience in warehouse and order fulfillment serving in a quality or supervisory function Some familiarity of ISO 9001:2015 Valve, pipe and actuator experience a plus. Familiar with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook. Good organizational skills Ability to schedule their time effectively to meet deadlines Strong communication skills oral and written.
