financial stability, and safe housing. Pathway Home Program -- Our
Pathway Home program provides vocational training, case management
and all supports needed for high demand jobs for currently
incarcerated inmates within Essex Country The Pathway Home Job
Coach will work with unemployed/underemployed inmates as they
transition back to the community from incarceration from the Essex
County Sheriff's Department. The Job Coach will facilitate client's
engagement with the employers and support their employment needs -
from job readiness to short and long term employment goals. The Job
Coach will work closely with the case management team to support
participants in developing individualized employment goals; improve
employability skills and secure employment placement. The Job Coach
will build, promote and develop employer connections and
relationships for employment placement. Your work will increase
employability skills, and employment placement in career
opportunities resulting in reducing recidivism. Job Coach Key
Responsibilites:Develop new employer partners to strategically
place and match candidates to opportunities based on skill sets.
Work with the Case Managers to review candidates' resumes, provide
job interview coaching, track and analyze each candidate's
interview/placement activity and provide post-placement follow-up
services to determine job satisfaction.Conduct active employer
outreach/marketing to develop short-term labor, paid internships,
job shadowing opportunities, and permanent employment.Establish
relationships with employers that allow for the flow of information
regarding problems, complaints, and progress of recently placed
jobseekers. Identify and discuss corrective action strategies with
direct supervisor, as needed.Assist in the creation of strong
working resumes for each jobseeker and ensure candidates' ability
to speak to their resumes prior to their interview(s). Instruct
applicants in job search and interviewing techniques, as
needed.Work alongside the Case Managers to determine the
job-readiness of each candidate and identify top candidates for
specific job orders and internships.Provide one-on-one career
coaching to participants with limited work history and low-levels
of educational attainment as they transition into the workplace and
achieve professional advancement.Collaborate with Case Managers to
ensure that participants receive services that support attainment
and maintenance of employment. Communicate participant needs with
assigned Case Manager.Work with Case Managers in identifying
additional resources and partners who can assist with basic needs
fulfillment (i.e.: employment, housing, clothing, haircuts,
incentives, additional skills training needs).Facilitate job
readiness workshops (i.e. soft skills, interviewing skills, career
exploration) with participants in a group setting as well as 1:1.
Workshops will occur both at the jails and in the
community.Participate in program and individual supervision, attend
required staff meetings and trainings, and contribute to team-based
collaborative planning.Ensure the maintenance of accurate,
complete, timely and high quality participant records that comply
with external regulatory standards and agency policy and
procedures.Keep supervisor informed of day to day activities,
significant events or conditions impacting participant and/or staff
well-being, team safety and office operations.Work cooperatively
with other staff as a member of the interdisciplinary team.Other
duties as needed and requested. The Job Coach role is about making
a difference in the lives of the people we serve. As Job Coach,
you'll bring the following qualifications: BA degree preferred;
however, a minimum of 2 years related experience may be
substituted. Demonstrated experience in the workforce development
field, job placement and/or employment programming or experience
working in a staffing agency, recruiting or in a related sales
capacityAt least one year of experience working in a
community-based setting with adults or young adults who are
justice-involved, preferredAbility to inspire and motivate
employers to hire and work with the re-entry communityDemonstrated
experience working with populations from diverse
backgroundsProficiency in Microsoft Office as well as exceptional
written and verbal communication skills.This position will require
independent travel between worksites, thus requires a valid
Driver's License and insurance coverage on personal vehicle at all
times during employmentMust be able to satisfactorily pass ECSD
background clearance process including attending the required week
long orientation through the correctional facility. Since 1934,
