Please note this position is inGroton, MA.Groton is 25 minutes from Lowell, Fitchburg, Leominster, and Littleton. All new educators can be eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus! At the Children's Center at Groton, we are looking for educators who are passionate about nurturing the whole child through play-based, emergent curriculum. We consider ourselves a school, not a daycare, and as such, teachers are treated as professionals, not babysitters. Our Reggio-inspired school takes a child-centered approach to learning and has a strong focus on social-emotional development. We are currently seeking teachers to work with infant-pre-k age children. We prefer candidates seeking full time positions, but are open to discussing part time positions with the right candidate. We prefer candidates who already have EEC Infant/Toddler or Preschool teacher certification, but are open to candidates still working towards EEC certification. At CCG, children remain in the same classroom for the full academic year (Sept.-Aug) and move together to the next age group. At our school, you will not experience students coming and going from your classroom throughout the year. We are not a traditional school. We value what each child has to offer and we look to turn their interests into hands-on experiences in the classroom. Our days are filled with wonder and joy - and probably a dance party or two. Our teacher-led Sunshine Committee plans monthly staff events to increase morale and keep us all feeling like a tight-knit community. Some of our events have included: a sock exchange, a Valentine's day treat swap, staff pajama days, and more! We also offer a snack bar!
