experienced and motivated Analyst to join our Retail QA team. The
newly created team is responsible for the quality of vendor
developed software and configuration acceptance into the New
Balance ecosystem of our global retail platform. At New Balance, we
seek active learners who love to use technology to solve
challenging problems and create efficiencies along the way to
ultimately enhance our customer experience. This role works as part
of the retail technology team to drive functionality and quality
out to the business and together with the rest of the team to push
New Balance as an innovator for years to come. The position will be
based out of the NB's Lawrence, MA location. This Job requires work
to be performed on site in the retail technology lab about 75% of
the time based on projects and initiatives, with flexibility to
work from home when appropriate.Major Accountabilities
- Maintain, setup, teardown, test lab of POS equipment
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test
cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and assist with all testing
activities on a variety of applications
- Report in detail test case failures back to vendor/ dev team
and assist in management of subsequent rounds of QA unit testing
and E2E UAT
- Report metrics around test execution and defects
- Participate in functionality design sessionsRequirements For
Success
- 2+ Years previous experience in a QA role and a solid
understanding of testing methodologies and/ or have relevant
experience working firsthand with retail applications.
- Ability to establish procedures, standards and systems for
retail technology QA team
- Experience writing/maintaining functional tests
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum/Kanban process &
waterfall
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive
scenarios and test cases
- Experience managing, executing, and reporting on multiple
testing efforts across different products
- Strong analytical skills in assessing user, functional, and
technical requirements and documentation and identifying high risk
and key test areas
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Extremely detailed, project and results oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as
exemplified by clear bug/issue explanations, documentation of
knowledge, and effective intra- and inter-group communications
- Ability to use a retail customer's perspective and apply it to
everyday work is preferred
- Experience with retail technology systems, concepts and
business processes preferred
- Experience using Jira, ADO, or other workflow applications
