Overview

The LF Materials Analyst is an entry level, non-exempt position that reports to the Lateral Flow Production Management Team. The LF Materials Analyst supports a wide variety of Charm ROSA diagnostic tests for screening in the agriculture industry.

Essential Functions

• Works independently to test and validate externally sourced materials for Lateral Flow tests. Primarily focused on, but not limited to porous plastic membrane.
• Preparation of all coating solutions necessary for daily productions.
• Work with junior analysts as needed to screen materials to approve/validate for production use.
• Maintain spray room analytical equipment (pH/conductivity meter, balance); Maintains cleanliness of analytical and coating equipment.
• Maintains inventory of materials both through physical counts and ERP system, communicating regularly with LF Management.

  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    Required:
    
    • AS in a science related field with 2 or more years relevant laboratory experience in regulated industry.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Ability to give and receive feedback.
    • Diligent, dependable, and self-motivated.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly with LF Management.
    • Familiarity with MS Excel and basic statistics.
    • Available to work minimum of 40 hours Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 AM and 5:30 PM, with some flexibility.
      Preferred:
      
      • BS in a Science related field.
      • GMP/GLP experience.
      • ERP management experience.
        Physical Requirements
        
        • Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
        • Must possess dexterity to frequently and accurately operate pipettes every day.
        • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period.
        • Will be exposed to fluctuating environmental conditions, i.e., temperatures ranging from -20 -C in walk in freezer to 25 -C in pilot plant.
