Job Description:
DescriptionThe Shipping Associate under supervision and using
established procedures, ensures that trucks are loaded, trays and
dollies are unloaded properly. Follows all GMP's and insures hands
are cleaned and sanitized at all times. Ensures the production of
safe, high quality product. Promotes good company morale. Insures
all checklist and required forms are filled correctly in a timely
manner. Complete all tasks deemed necessary by
supervisors.Responsibilities:Process orders through the operating
system to print list and labelDetermines the method of shipment and
prepares bills, invoices, and other shipping documentsOrganizes
distribution and shipping of merchandise.--Makes necessary
verifications against documents, unpacks and routes goods to
appropriate storage areas.--Handles customer pick-ups.Takes
inventory, maintains storage area, organizes, and places stock on
shelves. Ensures the area is always secure.Loading and unloading
trailersProduct verification, receiving, and put-awayCompleting
load sheets, trailer inspections, BOL's, etc.Housekeeping duties of
both the shipping docks and trailersEnsures proper rotation and
quality of productDirect communication with SupervisorMust be able
to lift up to 50-75 lbs.Other warehouse duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDAbility to process large
volumes of repetitive work to meet established deadlinesAbility to
lift heavy materials weighing up to fifty (50) pounds--Experience
with motorized pallets jacks and electric standup forklifts.Must
have prior shipping experienceMust have attention to detail
skillsKnowledge in excel and all products of Microsoft
OfficeAbility to work independentlyAbility to follow directions of
supervisor and follow all safety rules and regulationsMust be
flexible to work weekendsPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of
baking processes, equipment and terminology is desiredWork
Environment:Position is in an industrial setting that involves
everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety
precautions, as well as Good Manufacturing Processes compliance.
Will be pushing and pulling stacks of product that may weigh as
much as 250 lbs. May lift materials weighing up to fifty (50)
pounds on a recurring basis.
