The Quality Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day
leadership, coordination, and performance of the Quality Department
and in-house chemistry laboratory. This role oversees Quality
Technicians and Laboratory Technicians, ensuring consistent
execution of inspection, testing, laboratory analysis, quality
systems, and regulatory compliance. This position provides hands-on
technical leadership while serving as the first level of people
management for the quality and laboratory functions. The Supervisor
ensures product conformance, data integrity, safe laboratory
operations, and adherence to internal procedures, customer
requirements, and applicable industry standards. Job Details Duties
& Responsibilities: Actively promote a safe work environment by
enforcing safety policies, PPE requirements, and safe work
practices; addressing any unsafe conditions or behaviors
immediately. Lead and supervise the Quality and Laboratory
functions, ensuring consistent execution of inspection, testing,
and laboratory activities in support of production and customer
requirements. Provide hands-on technical and people leadership
through training, coaching, performance feedback, and development
of team members. Plan, assign, and prioritize work to balance
quality inspections, laboratory testing, and operational demand,
ensuring timely support of manufacturing while maintaining quality
and compliance standards. Ensure product conformance through
effective oversight of inspection results, laboratory analysis, and
quality data, escalating nonconformances, test failures, and
systemic issues as appropriate. Support quality systems including
internal audits, calibration, change control, and corrective
actions in coordination with Quality leadership. Ensure laboratory
and inspection equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and
safe for use; escalate equipment, accuracy, or safety concerns that
could impact product quality or compliance. Ensure employees follow
established work instructions, approved procedures, and quality
documentation, for data integrity, traceability, and audit
readiness. Conduct performance reviews, support corrective action
when necessary, and recognize strong performance. Maintain and
manage training matrices; ensure employees are trained and
qualified for assigned tasks. Ensure adequate staffing levels and
skill coverage for assigned areas. Support cross-training and
workforce flexibility to meet operational needs. Foster a culture
of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement where
employees take pride in delivering quality work. Model and
reinforce company values and policies, promoting clarity,
consistency, and collaboration across the team. Collaborate with
cross-functional teams including Production Control, Engineering,
and Maintenance to resolve production issue. Knowledge, Skills, &
Abilities: Strong working knowledge of quality inspection,
laboratory testing, and data integrity practices within a
manufacturing or regulated environment. Demonstrated ability to
lead and coach technical staff while maintaining hands-on
understanding of quality and laboratory processes. Decisive and
proactive, with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, integrity,
and professionalism. Technical proficiency with laboratory
equipment and analytical techniques, such as HPLC, GC,
spectrometers, titration systems, and other chemical or physical
test methods applicable to the operation. Experience working with
laboratory and quality data management systems, electronic records,
and reporting tools. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
(Word, Excel) and working knowledge of quality and laboratory
software systems (e.g., data entry, analysis, reporting). Ability
to interpret technical data, identify trends, and support
investigation of nonconformances and process deviations. Effective
problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and
corrective action. Strong written and verbal communication skills
to support documentation, training, and cross-functional
collaboration. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in
Chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical discipline required,
or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of
3–5 years of experience in a laboratory and/or quality environment,
preferably within the microelectronics industry (i.e. PCBs), or a
similar fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment. Prior
experience leading, coaching/mentoring, or coordinating the work of
others. Hands-on experience with laboratory testing methods,
inspection activities, and quality systems. Familiarity with ISO or
industry quality standards and audit processes. IPC certification a
plus. Working Conditions: This role requires regular presence in
both office and manufacturing/laboratory environments. The position
involves routine computer work, documentation, data analysis, and
collaboration, along with routine time spent on the production
floor and in the laboratory. The role requires standing, walking,
bending, and sitting for extended periods, as well as the use of
standard office, inspection, and laboratory equipment. Work may
involve exposure to chemicals, fumes, noise, and manufacturing
materials. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including
safety glasses, gloves, protective clothing, and respiratory
protection, may be required in designated areas or when performing
specific tasks. The ability to wear required respiratory protection
is an essential function of the role. The position may require
lifting up to 44 pounds (20 kg), manual dexterity, and the ability
to safely operate laboratory and inspection equipment safely.
Occasional extended hours or schedule flexibility may be required
to support production, laboratory demand, audits, or
